Epoxy Flake Garage Floor

Elio Garage

Not all epoxy floors are created equal. The preparation process is what makes the difference.
Before we ever applied the beautiful Stinger flake system on this garage floor, we started with something many homeowners never see: moisture testing. Our readings showed moisture levels help determine the proper coating system needed for long-term performance. Why does that matter?
💧 Excess moisture beneath concrete can lead to peeling, bubbling, delamination, and coating failure over time. That's why we don't just coat concrete—we evaluate it.

For this project, our process included:
✔️ Moisture testing
✔️ Diamond grinding the concrete surface
✔️ Repairing control joints to create a seamless appearance
✔️ Applying a 100% epoxy moisture vapor barrier
✔️ Finishing with a durable polyaspartic topcoat
The result? A beautiful, durable garage floor designed to withstand everyday use while being protected from moisture-related issues below the surface. The transformation speaks for itself, but it's the preparation behind the scenes that helps ensure it stays looking great for years to come.
